Set in the upper north shore, this design replaces an unremarkable rundown suburban house that has its current owners pulling their hair out. Dark, cutoff from its view with very poor connection with the rear yard, the owners and their three sons are ready for a revamp. The new design makes the most its northeast facing outlook with district views and glimpses of remnant bush. Using textured brick for the ground and lower ground levels with timber clad first floor, the house is a well mannered contemporary house with a series of pitched roofs offering an architectural solution in its suburban streetscape.
